I’ve always wanted a significant other that I could share my passion for fishing with and I finally found her! One of our best swordfishing days in the gulf was last year in October, us two and my good buddy Dawson left out of Cypress Cove Marina one night and were strictly going swordfishing, we dropped a bait when we got there and took a nap until the sun came up.
When the sun came up we reset our drift and instantly hooked into a 150lb sword and got him over the side. After getting our bearings straight again we set back on the same track and drifted and wouldn’t you know it BAM another fish absolutely choked the bait and hooked himself. Finally got him up and in the boat after a back and fourth fight and headed back to the skinning shack with 300lbs of swordfish!
